Congratulations!!!
We’d like to congratulate Connor Holt, Nathan Johnston, and Stephanie Lucksinger (Broad St.) and Joey Monteleone, Tim Spilde, Bryan Taylor, Evan Willis and Kenneth Chittaphong (Business Campus - AKA Park Ave.). These individuals years of training culminated this past weekend as they have completed a four part exam to be recognized as 1st Degree Black Belts. The exam consisted of a community service portion, a written portion, a physical portion and finally the USEWF Board of Examiners portion. We are extremely proud of these students for their years of hard work and dedication to improving themselves. We are very proud of the way they performed on all areas of their Black Belt exam. We look forward to many more years of working with them as they wear their Black Belts and shoot for that next goal of earning 2nd Degree Black Belt. That’s right, 1st degree is not the end, there is so much more to learn in our style after earning your black belt. If you ask any Black Belt, I think they would tell you that they have learned more since earning their Black Belt than they ever did before earning it. Great job and congratulations! We are very proud to have you as students. Keep working hard!

Our Park Ave. Location Has Moved!

Our Park Ave. location has moved to 1911 Business Campus Dr. All students are invited to bring a guest to class with them during the first week in November. You may bring more than one guest if you wish, but please make sure your guest is age appropriate for the class you attend. Please give your guest a tour of this brand new facility and make sure to introduce them to your instructors before class.
Filming for Video Commercial!
We will be filming classes and around the school for a Video Commercial on Weds. November 19th from 4:00 – 6:00PM at our Broad St. location. Please make plans to attend class on this day and be a part of our video commercial filming!! We would like our classes and parking lot PACKED!!
Food Drive
It is that time of year again, and we need your help to put food on the table for those in need. Please bring non-perishable food items to the school between now and Tuesday, November 25th. Other items, such as personal hygiene products (toothpaste, deodorant, soap, shampoo, etc.), may also be donated. I know with everyone’s help, we can make the holiday season a little better for those in need. Thank you, in advance, for your donations.

You’re Not to Old to Start Karate
The Bushido School of Karate is starting a brand new Karate Class that has been designed with the older adult in mind. This new class is called Executive Karate and will be a lower impact, lower pace class. We will still punch, kick and learn kata, but it will be done at a much lower pace. Sparring will be introduced to those who want to participate, but will not be a mandatory part of this program.
Here’s the problem, we need students. Please let us know if you might be interested. It only takes one to get it going!
Please stop by the office and let us know if you or anyone you know, might be interested, and we will give you more details about this class.

Missing Belt Certificates Available
Any student who is a member of the USEWRKD Federation, may get missing certificates replaced. For example, if you joined the federation as a purple belt, you can get your yellow, orange and blue certificates. If you have lost one of your certificates, you can get it replaced. Replacement certificates are $5. We simply need your name, Federation number and the date of your promotion (estimated dates are fine). If you know the month you were promoted, the date was probably the 3rd Friday (Broad St.) or the 3rd Saturday (Business Campus Dr.) of that month. Remember, certificates are only issued for full color belts, not candidate levels. Please write the above information down and turn it in to the office along with $5 per certificate.
Can We Save You Some $Gas$?
Some of you may not be aware of our two locations. In order to save gas, you may want to make sure you or your child are training at the facility closest to your home. Make sure you are aware of each location. Both class schedules are similar, but not identical. We want you to train at the facility that is most convenient for you or at the facility you are most comfortable at. Please come by the office if you desire to change facilities.
